  1. ‘How I think of Jo’

I first saw this painting at one of Sue’s exhibitions and was immediately drawn to its colours and expressive quality. When Sue shared the story behind the work, it gave the peace even greater meaning for me.

I love surrounding myself with art created by friends and people I admire, and this painting feels especially special on my wall.

    ‘Reunion’

I had some money saved from a job I did. I saw one of Sue’s other paintings but it had already sold and remember thinking I’m going to hang on to that money just in case I fall in love with another Sue Dunlop painting.

And I did it, was this one ‘Reunion’.

  3. ‘Spring Arrives’

I liked ‘Spring Arrives’ because it reminded me of holidays on the island of Arran known as ‘Scotland in miniature’. Sue’s painting invokes the differences found on the island between the mountains in the north and the arable land in the South.

Also, the colours convey the sudden changes of weather to be found on the island. Bright weather the one minute, driving rain the next.

  4. ‘Going to See Barbie’

When I first saw ‘Going to See Barbie’ by Sue Dunlop I had to have it. Sue’s approach is so original. The painting captures the relationship between friends, as well as the joy and anticipation.

I love this painting, it brings me happiness every day.

  5. ‘Sand Between our Toes’

I bought ‘Sand Between our Toes’ as a companion piece to another of Sue’s paintings.

I love the way Sue uses unusual perspective and how her paintings tell a story.

This painting, with its vibrant colour and pattern, reminds me of blissful summer days on the beach with friends.
